Finance Business Partner - Reed : Job Details

Reed Recruitment are delighted to be supporting an award-winning not-for-profit organisation in Edinburgh to secure Chartered Accountant to join the business as strategic Finance Business Partner on an interim basis.

This role involves project-based support across all service areas of the organisation, ensuring that operational teams are financially informed and aligned with our organisational goals.

Key Duties

• Collaborate with area-specific Finance Business Partners, Operational Directors, and Heads of Service to develop a deep understanding of service delivery areas
• Assist in strategic budget preparation and provide timely advice to maintain and develop services
• Identify and provide financial data to highlight trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for optimisation
• Support business cases and project decisions with clear financial insights in conjunction with existing Finance Business Partners
• Prepare regular financial reports tailored to Operational Directors, articulating projected financial performance, risks, and recommendations
• Participate in business and planning meetings to negotiate with key stakeholders and support staff, ensuring agreed outcomes and timescales are achieved
• Collaborate with HR and Organisational Development Business Partners to provide specialist financial support and information
• Work with other Finance Business Partners and the Financial Controller to enhance communication, business protocols, and efficiency across the organisation
• Support business development by assisting with funding applications related to operations
• Contribute to overall financial management including monthly accounts, budgets, and forecasting

Candidate

• Chartered Accountant
• Demonstrated Business Partnering experience
• Ability to work and support non-finance Directors
