Job Description :

Are you ready to join a strong finance team in a thriving business?We are looking for a new Finance clerk to join our team based in Accrington on an18 month contract. With a competitive base salary of £25,000 per annum and a great team to work in, our new Finance Clerk will be a valued member of an already high output team to maintain and reconcile bank accounts and financial ledgers. The role will also be responsible for  supporting and liaising with retail stores with regards to finance related company procedures, and ensure that processing deadlines are met and that company policies are upheld.

You will need to be self driven, inquisitive with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality service to all suppliers and internal customers. Along with this, you will need to:

  • Be a natural planner
  • Be eager to self improve and self critique
  • Be a confident and professional communicator at all levels.
  • Most importantly, you need to be reliable and determined with a flexible approach to work

Along with the above, you will need:

  • Previous experience of using financial package such as SAGE, CODA or Syspro.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Well organised with excellent time management skills
  • The ability to stay calm and composed under pressure.

What will you do?

  • Bank Reconciliation of all revenue streams including card, cash and finance income.
  • Escalation of non-resolved banking issues to the Cashbook Manager in a timely manner.
  • Processing of customer returns, cancellations, allowances and vouchers.
  • Input and reconciliation of finance payments & investigating finance differences.
  • Administration of chargebacks.
  • Investigation of aged customer creditors and debtors.
  • Various other administrative tasks required by the Department.
  • General knowledge of company procedures and systems.
  • Raising ad-hoc payments.
