Job Description :

This role is for a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or an individual qualified by experience, who can work both independently and as part of a small team to lead and be fully responsible for all aspects of the financial and management accounts (end to end) of a long, established wholesale import-distribution business.

Hybrid working is offered on the basis of 3 days (minimum) per week in the office

Description

  • Monthly Management Reporting: Prepare comprehensive management accounts and insightful commentary to support informed decision-making.
  • Year-End Process Oversight: Lead the year-end process, coordinating the audit, and producing accurate statutory financial statements.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Managing Director to develop budgets, forecasts, and dynamic business plans that drive growth.
  • Purchase Ledger Management: Ensure invoices are processed accurately and on time within the finance system, maintaining robust controls.
  • Payment Optimization: Design and implement an effective payment schedule, ensuring efficient cash flow and optimal invoice timing.
  • Sales Ledger Oversight: Manage customer accounts, prepare monthly statements, and follow up on payments to maintain healthy debtor days.
  • Cash Management: Oversee and reconcile multi-currency bank accounts, ensuring accurate cash tracking and control.
  • Foreign Currency Planning: Strategically plan foreign currency purchases in collaboration with the Managing Director to minimize risk.
  • Cash Flow Projections: Prepare detailed cash flow statements, both current and forward-looking, to ensure financial stability.
  • Financial Systems Management: Oversee the financial systems

Profile

  • Qualified or QBE - ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • Strong resolution focused approach to work, problem solving and continuous improvement;
  • Ability to proactively work independently and as part of a team (as required);
  • Implementation of finance systems would be an advantage, but is not essential;

Job Offer

£60,000 + £70,000 + Bonus

Salary : 60000 - 70000
