Radley Green is excited to partner with a high-growth tech consulting firm in their search for their first full-time, in-house Finance Director.

Founded in 2018, this rapidly expanding, bootstrapped business has achieved £10m in revenue and is now gearing up for an exit by the end of 2026. The finance function, recently internalised in 2023, seeks a strategic Finance Director to build and lead a dedicated finance team, collaborate closely with founders to drive growth, manage external accountant relations, and consistently add commercial value.

This urgent role offers a £90k-£100k salary, a 20% bonus, and equity. The business currently work 4 days a week in the office.

This is a rare chance for a first-time FD to join an ambitious company with a clear roadmap to an exit in 2026. Candidates from tech or consulting backgrounds are preferred, but team fit is paramount. Experience with business exits is a plus.

Role Highlights:

  • Act as a business partner across levels, enhancing commercial outcomes and promoting strong governance.
  • Foster financial and commercial awareness within the broader team.
  • Identify and emphasize key business drivers, risks, and opportunities, while developing KPIs to achieve goals.
  • Experienced in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Collaborate with external accounting to ensure accurate reporting and provide improvement feedback.
  • Critical focus on cash flow forecasting to meet financial needs, serving as the main contact with lenders.
  • Support data-driven insights and decision-making, enhancing near real-time dashboards for financial and operational metrics.
  • Manage revenue recognition on both time-and-materials and milestone-based billing.
  • Drive process automation for efficiency, accuracy, and financial control.
  • Recruit, mentor, and grow a finance team to support future expansion.
  • Provide support for contract negotiations, pricing, and discounting controls.
  • Experience with Xero, Google Suite, and Tableau would be advantageous.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with experience in growth environments.
  • Background in tech or consulting preferred, though open to all strong fits.
  • Commercially minded with solid systems experience.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
