Interim Finance Director

Ipswich

£500 - £700 per day

Reed Finance Suffolk are delighted to be working with a manufacturing business in Ipswich, on the recruitment of an interim Finance Director. The contract is expected to last until May 2025 but could easily extend.

The successful Finance Director will report directly to the board and take full responsibility for finance, including group consolidation. You will be a qualified accountant with strong financial reporting experience and extensive post-qualification experience, ideally with listed businesses.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls
• Group consolidation
• Manage currency, tax, VAT
• Planning and lead on audit.
• Provide strategic financial reporting and analysis.
• Offer expert advice on financial risks and maintain key banking and financial relationships.
• Suggest areas of improvement related to finance processes and systems.
• Lead an ERP implementation.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Recognised accountancy qualification: ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Financial reporting.
• Excellent knowledge of financial accounting standards, corporate governance, and risk management.
• Demonstrable experience in a leadership role at Board level.
• Strategic and operational expertise.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
