Finance Director – VC backed SaaS

Central London City office (4-5 days)

£110/130k + options

Talentedge are exclusively partnering with a global SaaS scaleup on a newly created Finance Director opportunity owing to rapid, global expansion.

Working closely with the CFOO who was the third employee into the business (after the 2 founders), you will have complete ownership over the finance function (FP&A, commercial finance, reporting & FinOps) whilst they focus on the wider operational landscape.

The business currently has 200 permanent members of staff and is anticipating this number to be at least 300+ by the end of 2025, with a big push on the US market. Key responsibilities to include:

• Own the day-to-day finance function, including overseeing monthly management & annual financial reporting as well as transational areas
• Continually improve processes and controls, utilising technology for automation purposes
• Lead on company-wide FP&A
• Own KPI analysis (both financial and non financial), generating meaningful insights to drive forward business decision making
• Partner CFOO on commercial projects including geographical expansion, new product launches and future funding rounds
• Operate as a trusted business partner to the CFOO, Founders, Board, Investors and wider business
• Develop, mentor and in time grow the finance function further (currently consisting of 4 team members)

Profile essentials:

• Qualified accountant with strong academics
• Rapid-scale tech scaleup experience (SaaS is advantageous) in a Finance Lead / Director position
• Experienced with building & developing an elite finance function, including people/systems/processes
• Commercial / data / strategic / automation-led mindset
• Strong people management skills, including advising, challenging and influencing stakeholders (CEO/Founder, Board etc) as well as mentoring an ambitious finance team
• International expansion exposure is beneficial
