Finance Implementation Specialist - Essbase - Marc Daniels : Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated & experienced Essbase Finance Implementation Specialist to join our client on an interim basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, developing, and implementing Essbase solutions to meet our clients' complex financial planning and analysis needs. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from gathering requirements and designing solutions to implementation, testing, and ongoing support. This project is offering an immediate start, along with a competitive day rate and benefits from fully remote working too.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Essbase Implementations: Manage all aspects of Essbase project implementations, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Develop and Optimize Essbase Applications: Design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable Essbase applications (BSO and ASO cubes) that meet client requirements.
• Data Integration and Management: Develop and implement data integration processes between Essbase and various source systems.
• Performance Tuning: Analyse and optimise Essbase application performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and reporting.
• Client Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with clients to understand their business needs and provide technical guidance and support.
• Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and training to the wider team on Essbase best practices and implementation methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Proven Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in implementing and managing Essbase solutions within a finance or accounting environment.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Essbase architecture, including BSO and ASO cubes, calculation scripts, data loading processes, and security.
• Data Management Skills: Proficiency in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using tools such as Essbase Integration Services or other data integration platforms.
• Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial planning and analysis principles and processes.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and technical teams.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with other Oracle EPM products (e.g., Planning, HFM)
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., MaxL)
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Essbase Certified Implementation Specialist)
