On their behalf we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance & IT Manager to join the organisation and oversee the effective management of our finance and IT functions.About the Role:This is a key leadership role within the organisation, reporting directly to the Corporate Director. As Finance & IT Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the finance and IT departments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices. You will lead a team of 5 dedicated professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and management accounting.
- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Managing the annual audit process.
- Monitoring financial performance and providing insightful analysis to the senior management team.
- Managing cash flow and investments.
- IT Management:
- Developing and implementing IT strategies that support the organisation's objectives.
- Overseeing the maintenance and development of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Ensuring data security and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Managing IT contracts and vendor relationships.
- Providing IT support to staff.
- Team Management:
- Leading, motivating, and developing a team of 5 finance and IT professionals.
- Conducting performance reviews and providing ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Other:
- Contributing to the development of the organisation's overall strategic plan.
- Participating in relevant committees and working groups.
- Keeping up to date with changes in legislation and best practices.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Qualified accountant (e.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the housing sector or a not-for-profit organisation.
- Strong IT knowledge and experience, including systems management and data security.
- Experience of managing and developing a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 1
