Finance Manager | SME Recruitment business | £50,000-£60,000 | London (3 days per week in the office) | 10 month maternity cover

An award-winning recruitment business is looking to hire a Finance Manager on a 10-month maternity cover role, starting in December 2024. Based in their London Head Office (3 days working in the office), you will be working in a collaborative & sociable environment and a business that is extremely people centric.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will manage one direct report within Credit Control. You will take ownership for the month-end, overseeing the AP, supporting with the management accounts and VAT returns

Responsibilities:

• Full management of our financial statements. Leading our reporting around month end and reconciling our accounts each month
• Creating insightful reporting for the board and leadership team on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Taking a leading role in our year end audit
• Compliance with HMRC - VAT, intermediary reporting etc
• Produce monthly cash and P&L forecasts
• Manage the credit controller and assume overall responsibility for credit control

Skill set required:

The successful candidate will be either qualified or part qualified with experience owning month-end, VAT and credit control experience. You will ideally have worked in a small company environment where you have owned the end to end of finance. Knowledge of working in the recruitment industry is preferred but not essential. You will be proactive in nature and will enjoy working in a fast-paced and sociable environment.
