Finance Manager Adult Social Care – Financial Assessments and Income Recovery

We are looking for a proven leader to join our Financial Assessment & Income Collection team. Your management skills will see you leading the team responsible for financial assessments and the collection of care charges from recipients of Adult Social Care services and other income. You will use your skills and experience to lead the team to deliver income maximisation, debt prevention and successful debt recovery where necessary that is compliant with all relevant legislation and guidance.
You will be enthusiastic and ambitious to deliver results, with a broad understanding of charging and debt recovery legislation, ideally with a strong management background, or with experience working at a relatively senior level within one of these specialised areas.
Your high-level interpersonal skills will lend themselves well to this role as will your ability to forge strong relationships and use purposeful and clear communication to deliver your messages. You will have a good understanding of the business needs for adult social care services and an ability to deliver practical and customer-focused solutions to meet these needs, including leading on member enquiries, charging complaints investigation and resolution.
As part of leading your team you will focus on maximising the opportunities for personal and staff development to ensure you and your team are the best they can be. You will continuously be striving to drive up the quality-of-service provision and the collection rate of care charges, whilst ensuring residents are provided with comprehensive accurate information on paying for care in the most efficient and effective way.
