Finance Manager | £350 per day (Umbrella) | 2-3 months | Fully Remote / UK-Wide

For the UK's largest not-for-profit social enterprise in the employment and social mobility sector, we are recruiting an Interim Finance Manager. This role is covering sick-leave and will lead on month-end accounts, including the preparation of management accounts, budget performance and variance commentary to Exec, as well as year-end preparation and collating information for Audit. This role will suit someone immediately available and happy to work fully remotely whilst developing excellent relationships across a large, multi-location organisation.

Main Duties:

  • Budgeting and Cost Control - Divisional budget setting and forecasting process
  • Monthly key variance summary in financial performance and KPIs for senior management
  • Interpret and present complex financial information to non-finance managers, supporting decision-making and improvements to budget and forecast performance
  • Financial Reporting - Maintain robust financial controls across and support the audit process with the financial reporting team. Preparation of year end accounts, liaising with auditors
  • Produce external financial returns to funders, dealing with queries
  • Financial Analysis - Support business planning process, and short- and medium-term financial targets
  • Support multi-year financial forecast with the FP&A team
  • Support the planning and managing of year-end accounts closedown process
  • Develop improved workflows to ensure month-end processes are robust
  • Assist the new business team with costing, pricing, and tendering of new business opportunities

Person Specification:

  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA Qualified
  • Experience of budgeting, planning, reporting, and supporting budget holders
  • Substantial experience of working in financial management across a complex organisation
  • Experience in strategic work streams, supporting annual accounting cycles and longer-term financial planning requirements
  • Experience of financial planning, costing, and option / investment appraisals
