Finance Manager - Transparent Recruitment Solutions Ltd : Job Details

Transparent is delighted to partner with this impressive company in the recruitment of a Finance Manager to join the team in Southend.

60% of your time would be based on site at Southend and the remainder of the week, would be on site in their Harlow operation.

As a key member of the Senior Management Team, your role would be a hands-on leadership position, managing two small teams across both of the above sites, working cross-functionally.

Main duties to include:

- Maintaining effective financial controls working in a Finance Business Partner capacity

- Delivery of the company’s statutory and management accounting requirements

- Undertaking analysis and actions to improve profitability and working capital efficiency. This will include areas such as forecasting and budgeting, engaging in cost reduction/ analysis, and reviewing operational performance

- Overseeing and managing two small finance teams

- Delivering monthly accounts from nominal ledger to trial balance for two companies

- Ensuring monthly management accounts are prepared and analysed to provide insightful information

- Delivering annual statutory accounts, including corporation tax computations

- Supporting the Group’s external statutory audit

- Performing cost base reviews to ensure resource levels are at an appropriate level

- Managing fixed asset audits, inventory counts and others as required

- Working with Management Teams to develop annual targets and forecasting

The Person:

- Qualified accountant, or "qualified by experience" with relevant background in engineering/other complex operations

- Previous experience in a similar capacity

- Excellent communication skills

- Team management experience

- Strong IT skills to include advanced Excel
