Finance Manager - Reed : Job Details

Reed Finance are supporting our client, a multi discipline services provider, with the recruitment of a project focused Finance Manager. This senior role is pivotal in providing an efficient project-level finance function and delivering accurate financial management accounting information. The successful candidate will be a proud ambassador for the Finance team and contribute to business strategy and technology adoption within the division.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly Management Accounts, including basic commentary.
• Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and periodic reforecasting for the CFO.
• Assist in the mobilisation of complex new contracts and set up new project structures for the Operations Team.
• Assist with Year-end and interim statutory audits.
• Liaise with senior divisional management teams to ensure a good appreciation of their financial results.
• Review IT systems to ensure they remain leading edge in driving accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain vigilance on credit control, ensuring timely and correct payments within the sector.
• Utilise negotiation skills to resolve disputes with clients and suppliers.
• Use data to drive margin improvement with better working practices.
• Assist the bid team with tender commercials as needed.
• Undertake commercial projects and manage the commercial and invoicing needs of consolidation centres.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Professional qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).
• Experience in Management Accounts.
• Commercial experience.
• Comfortable working in a standalone position.
• Strong Excel skills. SAP experience would be beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to work to deadlines and strong negotiation skills.
• Strong communication skills, especially with non-finance professionals (both internal and external).
• Experience in developing IT systems for efficiency and accuracy.
