We are looking for a highly experienced Finance Manager to join our growing finance team in St Albans, offering a flexible hybrid working model. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical accounting background and the ability to lead key financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monthly management accounts process, managing the month-end timetable, providing robust reconciliations, and delivering insightful reporting.
- Manage the year-end process, ensuring financial statements are prepared in accordance with FRS 102, and providing data and explanations to auditors.
- Manage corporate tax compliance processes and reporting, working closely with tax advisors.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models, leading the annual budget process.
- Proactively manage cash flow and working capital to ensure efficient financial operations.
- Implement and maintain effective internal financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Drive process improvement initiatives within the finance function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage and develop the transactional finance team, providing leadership, support, and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications & Experience:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong technical accounting background.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, ideally within a group or multi-entity environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and FRS 102.
- Experience managing complex consolidations, financial statements, and year-end processes.
- Strong experience in corporate tax compliance and working with external tax advisors.
- Advanced skills in Excel and experience with financial systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing financial controls and driving process improvements.
