Finance Manager

Location: Henley on Thames

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000

Job Summary:

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial health of the organisation. This role will include financial planning, budgeting, risk management, and reporting. The Finance Manager will collaborate with department heads to align financial strategies and will ensure compliance with financial regulations. They will play a critical role in driving the financial strategy to support company growth and sustainability. This role will be leading a finance team of 7. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Provide financial analysis and reports to senior management to support decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead the preparation of the annual budget, working closely with department heads.
  • Monitor expenditures, ensuring alignment with the budget and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual results to improve future forecasting.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Present financial results to stakeholders, including executive management, investors, and board members.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to regulatory authorities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to develop financial strategies that support the company’s overall objectives.
  • Oversee financial systems and ensure that they are efficient and secure.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and financial system upgrades.

Key Qualifications:

  • Fully Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA 
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial management.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
  • Team leading experience.
  • Experience in leading and managing a finance team with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
