Financial Manager
Overview: As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes within the organization. Reporting directly to the Financial Director, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information, as well as insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making at the management level.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators, variances, and trends.Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development, monitoring, and review of budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads and senior management. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize resource allocation and drive financial performance.Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of costs and expenses, identifying areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements. Analyse production costs, overhead expenses, and other cost drivers to support decision-making and cost control measures.Variance Analysis: Investigate and explain variances between actual financial results and budgeted/forecasted figures. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to understand underlying causes and develop action plans to address any deviations from targets.Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and decision-making processes. Evaluate the financial implications of proposed projects, investments, or strategic initiatives.Management Reporting: Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as requested by management to support strategic initiatives, business performance reviews, and decision-making processes.Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and financial regulations. Participate in internal audits and assist in the implementation of corrective actions to address any identified deficiencies.Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of financial reporting and analysis. Implement best practices and leverage technology solutions to drive process improvements.Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including operations, sales, and marketing, to provide financial insights and support cross-functional initiatives. Act as a business partner to key stakeholders, providing financial guidance and support to drive business objectives.Audits: Preparation of Year-End Audit Packs. Liaising with Internal and External Auditors, Seamless Year End Audits and Meet agreed deadlines to conclude any Internal or External Audits Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, CIMA, ACCA or other relevant certifications preferred.
- Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and management reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, analyze trends, and draw meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAGE300, Accpac, IDU) is desirable.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of key drivers impacting financial performance.
