Job Description :

Square Peg Associates is working with a dynamic company dedicated to providing high-quality Care Services across the Northwest. They are seeking a skilled and motivated Finance Manager to join their team.

Role Overview: As a Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of the financial reporting. Working closely with the Care Managers and Directors, you will be responsible for maintaining a robust financial control environment and supporting key financial processes.

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Statutory Accounts & Audit:
    • Contribute to the preparation of statutory accounts for the Group.
  • Balance Sheet & General Ledger:
    • Complete assigned balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Process accounting entries, including journals, through the General Ledger.
    • Handle payroll accounting entries with accuracy.
  • Invoice Processing & Monthly Tasks:
    • Correctly code non-PO invoices for processing and approval (i.e. - Fuel, Rent and Expenses).
    • Process prepayments and accruals on a monthly basis.
    • Manage transactional accounting including Sales, Purchase Ledger, Credit Control and allocating payments on account.
    • Review the nominal ledger for capital items.
  • Fixed Assets & Compliance:
    • Maintain the Fixed Asset register and calculate depreciation.
    • Assist in maintaining and developing the compliance and controls environment.
  • Inter-Company Transactions & Reporting:
    • Process inter-company transactions as required.
    • Collate and present accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including Board Reporting.

Qualifications and Skills for the Financial Manager:

o Qualifications:

    • Qualified or Part-qualified Accountant (GCMA/CIMA/ACA/ACCA).

o Technical Skills:

    • Strong data analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and Accountancy Software.

o Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills to support and extract data from multi-site Managers.
    • Strong team player with a flexible and proactive approach.
    • Driven, eager to grow within the role.
    • Commercially minded, sound business acumen
  • Car Owner / Driver: Essential for multi-site visits. Mileage expenses paid.

Salary : 60000 - 70000
