We are searching for an organised and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our clients Accounting & Finance team in a manufacturing business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounts payable and receivable operations in their Wrexham location.

Due to a period of investment and internal restructure they are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the transactional finance function, insuring best practice and driving efficiencies.
Description
The key responsibilities of the Finance Manager include:
- Oversee invoicing, credit, and collections to ensure timely payments from customers.
- Monitor and reconcile customer accounts, and manage discrepancies.
- Conduct credit checks for new clients and set credit limits based on company policy.
- Implement strategies to reduce outstanding receivables and improve cash flow.
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Review and approve payment requests and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile accounts payable ledgers, resolving any discrepancies.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate favourable payment terms.
- Lead and train the AR/AP team, providing guidance on best practices.
- Set performance targets and conduct regular assessments.
- Identify opportunities to improve AR/AP processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
- Experience within a fast-paced transactional finance environmen
- Oversight of EDI invoice processes and knowledge
- Proficiency in financial software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
