Reporting into the Finance Director, as Finance Manager you will be responsible for managing a small team, overseeing the preparation of the management and statutory accounts and assisting with process improvement work. This role will be based at least 3 days from the office in Mid Kent and 2 from home.

Description

As Finance Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts including accruals, prepayments and p&l analysis
• Weekly cash forecasting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting the FD in forecasting and budgeting
• Statutory accounts preparation including liaising with the auditors both internally and externally
• Managing a team of 6 offering mentoring and support where necessary
• Engaging the team in process improvement projects

This is a very key role for the finance team and requires someone who can commit to travelling to the office in Mid-Kent at least 3 days per week.

Profile

My client is looking for a Qualified / Qualified by Experience Accountant, with experience of both management and statutory accounting, as well as experience of managing a team.

Ideally you will have worked in medium-larger organisations previously, or within a smaller division of a larger company. Experience of working within a corporate environment would be useful but not essential.

Experience of working within manufacturing would be useful.

You must be available to start this role by the middle of January and commit to the full tenure of the contract (likely 15 months).

Job Offer

Up to £60,000 dependent on experience
