Job Purpose:This role will ensure full responsibility for all day-to-day financial matters for the UK companies, reporting directly to the Group Finance Director. This role is based in our London office with flexible, hybrid working available (3 days in the office).

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for all UK companies to strict deadlines.
  • Production of monthly group consolidated management accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Cash flow management, including weekly rolling cash forecasts.
  • Finalisation of weekly supplier payment runs.
  • Leading discussions with suppliers to increase credit terms offered to the company in conjunction with the accounts payable staff.
  • Weekly/monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts.
  • Preparation of monthly reconciliations of balance sheet items, including maintenance of fixed asset registers.
  • Processing of any intercompany sales invoices.
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns for all UK entities.
  • Preparation of monthly payroll data ready for submission to the payroll bureau.
  • Calculation of all staff bonus and commission payments.
  • Preparation of year-end audit files.
  • Management and development of finance team members.
  • Develop and refine processes to build efficiencies within the team and its outputs.
  • Assist in the development of KPIs to manage team and business performance.
  • Any other duties as required by the Group Finance Director.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
  • Minimum 2 years post-qualified experience, ideally in a similar role.
  • Experience of managing a team.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel.
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, particularly during month-end.
  • Able to prioritize work and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on your initiative and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience using Business Central Dynamics 365 (preferred but not essential).
