The Finance Manager will be a key player in the Accounting & Finance department of a reputable not-for-profit institution.

You will lead a team, manage finances, and contribute to the overall financial strategy.

Description

  • Leading the finance team in a manner that empowers them to deliver excellent customer service and high standards of financial management.
  • Contributing to the development of the institution's financial strategy.
  • Managing the preparation of the institution's budgeting, forecasting and reporting,.
  • Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends.
  • Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organisations.
  • Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines.
  • Staying updated on changes in financial regulations and legislation.

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • A degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • Expertise in financial management and accounting.
  • A professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Live local/ can commute 3 days per week to central Oxford.
  • Proficiency in use of finance software.
