Finance Manager - Logistics

As a FTSE company, my client prides themselves on delivering excellent service to their partners, and customers. This driving belief radiates through their business. They are looking for Finance Manager who can bring leadership and direction with industry relevant experince to a growing finance team based in Northampton.

This role is responsible for creating the assets required to effectively business partner, focusing on value creation and collectively strengthening our performance. You will provide insight, analysis and commentary to stakeholders, aiming to drive decisions and actions that improve the bottom line and help deliver our growth strategy. You will partner with senior stakeholders when required, supporting across the logistics division.

Some of the key responsibilities:

• Business partner internal and external stakeholders.
• Interpret management reporting to provide insight, analysis and commentary to stakeholders and provide challenge to the business.
• Identify strategic and operational risks and opportunities and alert the leadership team.
• Build an external perspective and use outputs to engage and influence the business.
• In line with timeline and process set by FP&A, work with business to manage forecasting and budgeting.
• Build strategic business cases and support post implementation reviews as required.
• Support and challenge the business to manage strategic projects and initiatives.
• Success in this role will mean supporting the business in making decisions that enhance financial performance (cost to serve, cost per case, working capital, cost savings, and profit)

Ideal profile:

• Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) We would consider a Part-qualified candidate.
• Curiosity beyond traditional finance boundaries and ability to understand key business drivers.
• Ability to effectively communicate and challenge senior stakeholders, including audiences of varying financial and commercial acumen to manage financial performance.
• Ability to prioritise workload whilst managing business and finance stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
