Finance Manager

Reed Finance partnering with a well-established trading & engineering company based in London, to recruit for them a Finance Manager to join their dynamic finance department.
We are looking for a Finance Manager to oversee the finance operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance while supporting the company's growth.
This Finance Manager role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day aspects of business accounting, reporting, accounts department functions and the company’s financial obligations whilst supervising the accounts payable and receivables department.
This Finance Manager requires a fully qualified Accountant with a demonstrated background in team management.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Management Reporting: Prepare and distribute monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and forecasts. Monitor costing and contract margins, oversee staff expenses, and provide support on finance-related queries.
- Financial Accounting: Handle the preparation of year-end accounts, manage annual stocktakes, and audits. Deal with corporation tax issues and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- IT/Computer System Management: Manage financial accounting IT requirements, lead ERP system implementations, and support the SAP Central Finance project. Drive improvements in finance systems and processes.
- Team and Departmental Management: Lead a skilled accounts team, maintain high morale and teamwork within the department, and ensure cross-departmental cooperation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA or CIMA with at least 5 years of managerial experience.
- Experience working within a trading company and in preparing Financial and Management Accounts.
- Proficient with SAP B1 and Power B1 financial systems.
- Strong knowledge of financial processes and master data management.
- Detailed knowledge of end-to-end financial processes
- Advanced Excel skills
- SQL proficiency and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proven track record of team management and effective communication across all levels.
