We are looking for an experienced Finance manager with extensive accounts knowledge to join our small team. Our headquarters is on the outskirts of Hitchin, therefore your own transportation is essential
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all aspects of the company’s accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Day-to-day bookkeeping, including bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Preparing monthly management accounts and reports for team meetings.
- Handling VAT returns and payments.
- Assisting with year-end accounts and liaising with auditors.
- Managing supplier invoice payments and debtor chasing.
- Generating sales invoices for subscriptions and rebates.
- Supporting rebate payment processes and ensuring accurate records.
- Completing additional administrative duties as required.
Requirements:
- High degree of numeracy and accuracy.
- Extensive knowledge of Sage accounting software (Sage 50 desktop is currently used)
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Word (knowledge of Access is desirable).
- An accounting qualification is preferred; however, relevant experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of rebate processes is advantageous
- Experience in business improvement techniques.
- A keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small, dynamic team.
- Due to the office location, a driving licence and use of a car is a necessity
