The Westway Trust is a unique charity that manages a vibrant space in North Kensington, London. We're looking for a Finance Officer to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining our financial health.

You’ll work closely with the Senior Finance Officer and Property Finance Officer, ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain sales, purchase, and cash ledgers.
  • Record suppliers' invoices and reconcile statements.
  • Monitor and manage invoice status and creditor listings.
  • Process fortnightly payments to suppliers, including HMRC.
  • Reconcile credit card statements and bank transactions.
  • Process staff expenses and petty cash transactions.
  • Support the Senior Finance Officer with month-end reconciliations and year-end schedules.
  • Provide cover for other finance team members during peak times and holidays.

The Person

We’re looking for someone with at least two years of experience in a busy finance role, who is comfortable with computerised accounts systems and MS Office, particularly Excel. You’ll need:

  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Experience in credit control, bank reconciliations, and electronic banking.
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise under pressure.
  • Commitment to teamwork and equal opportunities.
  • Knowledge of Access Dimensions or Focal Point (desirable).
  • Studying towards AAT qualification (desirable).

Salary : 30000 - 31000
