Finance Officer – Newry
Temporary (2-3 months) | Full-time or 4-day week | Site-based | From £15 an hour (dependant on experience)
REED Accountancy is delighted to be partnered with a fantastic charity based in Newry in the appointment of a Finance Officer to join their team on a temporary, full-time or 4-day week basis.
The Role:
- Invoice and purchase order processing and reconciliation - allocating payments and receipts to appropriate budget codes and nominals.
- Bank reconciliation relating to all departments - income, creditors and debtors.
- Daily reconciliation of finances
- Account maintenance and accurate VAT recording.
- Electronic and manual filing of all documentation.
- Operating franking machine and dealing with incoming/outgoing post.
- Manage journals for accruals, prepayments, and stock, making adjustments as required.
- Manage accurate reporting of fixed assets, depreciation, and investments.
Essential criteria:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience using an accounting software (Quickbooks desirable)
