Finance Officer - Cathedral Appointments Ltd : Job Details

£20.00 PER HOUR | TEMPORARY PART TIME | EXETER

We are looking for a temporary Finance Officer for our client based in Exeter. As the Finance Officer, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the charity, ensuring fiscal responsibility, transparency, and compliance with relevant regulations. This role involves financial planning, reporting, and supporting fundraising efforts.

This role is a temporary contract offering 22.5 hours per week, ideally working in the office on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Key responsibilities for a Finance Officer: -

• Purchase Ledger - managing the purchase ledger system, processing invoices, preparing and processing the payment run, scanning invoices
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports in accordance with UK charity regulations.
• Develop and manage the charity’s annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Assist with fundraising activities by providing financial insights and reporting.

Person Specifications for a Finance Officer: -

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification preferred.
• Experience in financial management, ideally within the charity sector.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Proficient in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
