Job Title: Finance Officer

Working Pattern: Full Time- 36 hours per week (office based)

Hourly rate From: £14.30

Responsibilities:

As a Finance Officer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing financial management, technical, and business planning advice, training, and support to various stakeholders
• Assisting managers in client service areas to fulfil their financial management responsibilities
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients
• Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial, performance, and business data
• Participating in budget coordination and monitoring activities
• Supporting service transformation, improvement, and efficiency projects
• Contributing to the evaluation of funding stream opportunities and innovative marketing initiatives

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:

• 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C or 9-4) including Mathematics and English Language or equivalent
• Previous experience in a financial environment, preferably within an Accountancy/Finance Office
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Applications
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage a multi-priority workload
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

It would be advantageous if you have:

• Experience in budget preparation, closure of accounts, or financial management
• Familiarity with Financial Ledger packages

Technologies:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience with Financial Ledger packages.
