FINANCE OFFICER - Venn Group : Job Details

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer to work for a Children’s Charity based in Lingfield, Surrey. The postholder will be working in a busy finance team and predominately supporting the purchase ledger function.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Manage supplier invoicing and payments
• Match, batch, and code a high volume of supplier invoices
• Process payment runs for suppliers
• Oversee sales invoicing and cash allocations
• Reconcile supplier statements
• Assist with monthly reconciliations of control and balance sheets
• Post monthly journals and manage banking cheques
• Maintain petty cash and issue customer refunds
• Reconcile purchase and sales ledgers
• Handle supplier queries and send out statements
• Participate in ad-hoc financial projects
• Check credit card inputs, match receipts/invoices to the monthly statement, and ensure returns are made on a timely basis to allow a quick close time for the month-end accounts
• Ensure credit card spend is approved by Line Managers
• Accrue for missing credit card returns and enter this via a journal into NetSuite
• Enter credit card transactions via journals for all credit

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• At least 3 years experience in Accounts Payable
• Working towards AAT, CIMA, CIPFA, or ACCA qualification
• Strong system skills including intermediate Excel skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
