The Finance Support officer will be a crucial component of the Accounting & Finance department, providing comprehensive financial and administrative support within the Not For Profit sector.

Description

  • Provide financial and administrative support to the Accounting & Finance department.
  • To be responsible for the accurate recording of financial transactions using sage 50 accounting software, to include sales ledger, purchase ledger, petty cash, credit cards and bank lodgements in accordance with financial policies and procedures and relevant accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly finance reports to support funding claims.
  • Preparation of claims for funding and collation of backup to support year end claims.
  • Assist in the preparation for year-end statutory audit.
  • To prepare payroll including, processing, collating and filing of documentation..
  • Support other departments with financial inquiries and tasks.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Profile

A successful Finance Administrator should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proficiency in financial software (Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
