Financial Accountant - SRM RECRUITMENT LIMITED : Job Details

We are partnered with an industry leading Healthcare organisation as they look to recruit a strong qualified Financial Accountant due to growth.

You will pay a pivotal supporting the FC in month-end and year-end processes whilst receiving hands on mentorship.

Responsibilities:

• Support the UK Financial Controller with month-end and year-end reporting deadlines
• Maintain the general ledgers, including balance sheet reconciliations and revaluations
• Post journal entries and execute month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Prepare prepayments and accruals
• Manage the fixed asset register
• IFRS 16 lease accounting
• Prepare UK and EU VAT returns
• Assist in the interim and year-end audit process
• Acting as a mentor to the Assistant Accountant, helping to develop their role and qualifications
• Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems
• Other ad hoc tasks deemed necessary such as business partnering and involvement with R&D projects

Requirements:

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
• Proficient in Excel
• Can work to deadlines with a high level of accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
