Group Financial Accountant | Manchester | £50,000 - £60,000
Resourcery Group are working with a large Manchester based brand who are looking for a skilled individual to join their team in the role of Group Financial Accountant. This position is crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting, optimising the group structure for efficiency and cost savings, compliance with tax regulations whilst also taking a leading role in improving current reporting procedures with the assistance of the Head of Reporting and the Group Financial Controller.Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards
- Process Improvement: Take an active part in challenging all existing processes and procedures, making improvements consistently and driving modern standards
- Audit Support: Collaborate with auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations for annual audits
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting process and contribute to financial forecasting efforts.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about regulatory changes and ensure the group's financial practices are compliant
- Coordinating the annual corporation tax compliance cycle, liaising with external advisors and internal finance teams
- Managing and coordinating VAT reporting processes, including preparation and submission
- Analysing the group structure to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities
- Working on streamlining the group structure by closing down entities that are no longer required
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant – ACA – Ideally audit trained from a Top 10 firm
- Previous experience preparing statutory accounts for a group of UK entities
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
