Financial Accountant - Reed : Job Details

• Location: Birmingham - Hybrid (2 days in the office) 
• Job Type: Full-time
• Salary: £40,000 - £51,000 per annum

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Finance and Services Division, offering strategic operational leadership in financial management. The role is pivotal in developing the department’s analytical capabilities to support decision-making and the achievement of strategic objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate recording of financial transactions and providing insightful reporting to aid the organisation’s mission.

• Manage the accurate recording of payables, receivables, and general ledger entries.
• Ensure timely processing of payments to national and international suppliers.
• Conduct month-end procedures and authorise journals within set timetables.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of all Balance Sheet accounts and oversee accounting for subsidiary organisations.
• Lead the development and enhancement of reporting processes and contribute to new treasury strategies.
• Manage and lead 2 Finance Officers

• MUST be ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent. 
• Extensive experience in a finance role.
• Knowledge of the charity sector and experience with Unit 4 ERP Systems are desirable.
• Strong technical and analytical skills, particularly in Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
