The Role

As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting compliance, and contributing to process improvements within the finance function. Working closely with both the finance team and cross-functional stakeholders, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the business, driving efficiencies, and maintaining the integrity of the financial records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and coordinate with external auditors
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial analysis and insights
  • Manage balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all entries are accurate and complete
  • Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and financial integrity
  • Support ad-hoc financial projects, analyses, and reporting as required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, with experience in preparing financial statements and month-end reporting
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with financial reporting standards and compliance requirements
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Salary and Package

  • £45,000 - £55,000
  • Bonus
  • Hybrid working
  • 25 days holiday - increasing to 28 with service
