Financial Accountant - Mackie Myers : Job Details

Our ClientA well-established East London social housing provider.The RoleAs the Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in the finance team, reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance. This is a newly created position with significant opportunity for growth and development. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of statutory accounts and financial statements
• Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts
• Leading on VAT compliance, including partial exemption calculations

The Successful Candidate

• Part-qualified or fully accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with clear progression towards qualification
• Practice experience from a Top 20 firm would be highly advantageous
• Strong technical accounting skills and understanding of financial reporting
• Experience with VAT, particularly in a not-for-profit context
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities
• Proactive approach with ability to grow with the role

What’s on offer?

• Salary £55,000-£60,000 negotiable on experience
