Financial Accountant - Gleeson Recruitment Group : Job Details

Gleeson Recruitment Group are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join our fast paced Leicester based client. With a salary of up to £57,000 + generous benefits package, there will also be exceptional progression opportunities on offer.

We're looking for someone who can drive improvements across the team, and not be afraid to get up to tackle conversations with stakeholders to get things done. You'll have ample support from the wider team and your manager, and the trust to make changes. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial operations run smoothly, through maintaining financial controls and working with a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts
• Play a key role in preparing financial statements and year-end accounts
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and processes
• Own budgeting and forecasting activities, providing analysis and insight to stakeholders
• Collaborate with other teams across finance to improve reporting, processes and financial accuracy
• Support the Finance Operations Manager in ad-hoc projects, including systems improvement and analyses
• Develop strong working relationships with senior management to support timely and informed decision making

About You:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant
• Excellent knowledge of financial reporting standards
• Previous experience in financial accounting or financial operations, preferably within a large business
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data to provide insights
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
