Financial Accountant - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyOur client, a growing fast-paced business in Glasgow city centre, has an exciting new job opportunity for an ambitious qualified accountant to join them as a Financial Accountant due to internal promotion within the team.Your new roleYou will be responsible for the generation of quarterly and annual management accounts for financial reporting, ensuring the timely completion of monthly close processes.Further responsibilities will include accounting for the acquisition of new companies, submission of monthly/quarterly VAT returns to HMRC and coordination of payments to settle any liabilities, liaising with auditors and the preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts & weekly cash flow forecasts.You will also play a key role in special accounting projects and continually review processes to make improvements and drive efficienciesWhat you'll need to succeedThis position would ideally suit candidates keen to make their first move out of Big 4 / mid-tier external audit or those who have already moved to industry looking to work in a more dynamic environment where they can make their mark.Proven experience and the ability to prioritise while working to tight reporting deadlines with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
