Financial Accountant - Marks Sattin : Job Details

A leading hospitality business in restaurants and music, is seeking a Financial Accountant.

Role and responsibilities:

• Work closely with the commercial property team and take ownership for the accounting of lease transactions
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting, including preparing accounting entries & reconciliations
• Investigate and provide commentary for the management team
• Provide technical accounting support to the Assistant Reporting Accountant for Music
• Supervise accounting entries
• Supporting the preparation of month end reviews
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Post period end journals for base rent, turnover rent and rent reviews etc.
• Point of contact for ad-hoc queries
• Assist with cashflow forecasting
• Assist with the preparation of budgets

This is an exciting role for a finalist or newly qualified professional who has experience with preparing accounting entries, reconciliation and commentary. The ideal candidate will have experience of Lease Accounting IFRS 16 / IAS 17, be eager to develop their career and possess excellent communication skills.
