Financial Accountant - Plumstead Consulting : Job Details

Our client is seeking additional support within Finance and therefore require a Financial Accountant to commence immediately in the role.

You will be working closely with experienced professionals, you will gain invaluable insights and hands-on experience, enhance your skills and knowledge by working with advanced accounting software such as Sage 200 and Salesforce.

This role supports part-qualified accountants (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT, QBE), with the experience to be able to assist the team and the Head of finance at a busy period across finance year end.This diverse role ensures that no two days are the same, keeping your work both challenging and rewarding.Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.- Perform bank reconciliations, supplier and customer account reconciliations, and balance sheet account reconciliations.- Process invoices, payments, and manage accounts payable and receivable.- Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate transaction records.- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.- Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and variances.- Prepare and maintain financial documentation and records.Skills and Qualifications- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT, QBE) or equivalent.- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar financial role.- Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Sage 200 and Salesforce.- Strong Excel skills are essential.- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.This role is perfect for those who are detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to assist the finance team within a reputable company.
