Description

Key Responsibilities for the Financial Accountant:

  • Drive the fixed asset management process, including oversight of additions, disposals, and maintenance of robust internal controls
  • Lead the monthly inventory valuation process for Ireland operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Manage critical balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities, providing detailed analysis and commentary
  • Coordinate and deliver group reporting requirements, identifying process improvements and implementing best practices
  • Spearhead cash flow management and forecasting
  • Own the UK VAT return process and oversee various tax compliance matters
  • Support statutory audit processes and preparation of annual accounts

Profile

The Ideal Financial Accountant:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with demonstrable post-qualification experience in a similar role
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and experience with multi-entity reporting
  • Proven track record in process improvement and implementing robust financial controls
  • Excellence in stakeholder management with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Proactive problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
