Financial Accountant - FRS Ltd : Job Details

Our client is a well-regarded business operating within the sales and distribution industry from their UK head office based in the West Midlands.

As part of the companies continued expansion within the UK, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Financial Accountant.

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, this role promises to be both varied and progressive and equally suited to those with transferable industry experience or those working within practice and seeking a move to industry

• Support Group Financial Controller with group consolidation, group quarterly reporting and stat accounts
• Management Accounting and assisting with Budgeting/forecasting
• Balance Sheet Recs - own the transition from current spreadsheet versions to Tagetik Account Recs
• Cashflow forecasting - transition from current spreadsheet versions to software solution
• Cashbook management - transition from current spreadsheet versions to software solution and ownership of daily bank recs
• Treasury - ownership of banking in each company, ensuring sufficient headroom, building relationship with HSBC/MUFG, etc
• Currencies - translate relevant balances each month and improve multi-currency processes
• Audit - support management of ownership of audit process working to establishing sample testing protocols, ensuring all standard audit requests for financial analyses are set up as templates on AIS, etc
• Finance Business Partner and Analysis and to contribute to Tagetik programme.
• Reconciliations - to investigate and put right inconsistencies between GL and supporting analyses
• Inter-company - ensure balances to nil each month
• System improvements - work with IT on solutions to automate processes that are currently manual

The ideal candidate will be working towards qualification if not already qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) and ideally have at least 3 years’ experience gained within a similar Financial or Management Accounting position.

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are key to this role due to the outward facing nature.
