Financial Accountant

Are you a part-qualified accountant looking for a Financial Accountant role. A leading multi-site business is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Finance Team at its support office near Cannock.

About the Role

• Play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all internal and external financial reporting.
• Prepare and review statutory financial statements, tax filings, and regulatory submissions, ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and legal requirements.
• Manage and oversee bank reporting, maintaining strong relationships with financial institutions and providing them with accurate and timely financial data.
• Ensure the fixed asset register is maintained and manage period end and fixed asset spend reporting
• Ensure preparation of periodic balance sheet reconciliations, GL analysis and supplier statement reconciliation reviews
• Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, delivering key financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

• Assist in the production of periodic forecasts and annual budgets, including EBITDA, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, auditors, and external advisors to maintain financial integrity and ensure compliance with all regulatory obligations.
• Optimise financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

What We're Looking For

• Actively studying accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or similar) with relevant experience.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate data efficiently.
• High level of accuracy and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with colleagues and external stakeholders.
