FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

£50,000 per annum plus 12% bonus scheme

Hybrid role with both office based and home working

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as Financial Accountant.

This is a hybrid role within the Group’s Head Office Finance function, reporting to the Group Tax and Financial Accountant.

The position holder will provide support to the Group Tax and Financial Accountant in respect of technical accounting, the preparation of statutory financial statements, cashflow budgeting and forecasting, preparing and reviewing SOX controls, managing the day-to-day relationship with the Groups banks, as well as managing and developing a team.

The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent with the ability to work to tight deadlines. Excellent attention to detail is required for this role, along with a broad understanding of UK VAT and Corporation tax. The ability to interact and work successfully as part of a small team will be required.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period (37.5 hours per week). Normal working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, dynamic working is available whereby the earliest start time is 7am and the latest finish time is 7pm.

Please note, this role will be hybrid with a mixture of office-based and home-working.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines
  • The ability to produce work with a high degree of accuracy
  • A broad understanding of UK VAT and Corporation tax
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Experience of external financial audits
  • Ability to interact and work successfully as part of a small team

Desirable requirements:

  • Use of online Purchase to Pay systems
