Description

  • Update and maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording of acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
  • Transfer data from Excel to E5 accounting software, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage multi-currency transactions, including foreign currency conversions and reconciliations.
  • Monitor capital expenditure projects, ensuring they are within budget and properly accounted for.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and company policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and external audits.
  • Collaborate with other departments for asset-related and multi-currency transactions.
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks as needed to support the finance team

Profile

The successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • Background in fixed asset accounting and multi-currency financial transactions.
  • Meticulous in maintaining accurate records and ensuring data integrity.
  • Skilled in using accounting software, particularly E5, and proficient in Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills to manage multi-currency transactions and financial reporting.
  • Capable of identifying and implementing system improvements.
  • Effective communicator who works well with other departments.
  • Able to handle ad-hoc tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).

Job Offer

  • An estimated annual salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 pro rata.
