European Accounting Manager 

Resourcery Group are partnering with one of the regions recent success stories as they look to hire a new European Accounting Manager. Our Liverpool based client has an excellent reputation and has grown significantly in recent years. With further growth and acquisitions on the horizon, this is an exciting time to join this business in what is a significant and highly visible role. 

The European Accounting Manager will be technically strong and lead on Financial Accounting for the business. You will ideally have a practice background and significant consolidation experience, whilst exposure to working in a fast paced and ever changing environment would be beneficial. 

This role could be described as career defining and the successful candidate will be both supported and given the opportunity to progress quickly in this brilliant business. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all statutory reporting requirements are met according to statutory and internal deadlines.
  • Develop and manage the monthly and annual consolidation reporting tool.
  • Be the key contact point and manage all audit and tax processes, working with advisors to deliver within timetable and statutory requirements.
  • To play a lead role in recommending improvements to the business and financial processes.
  • To be the technical lead on interpretation of local GAAP reporting requirements 
  • To support the preparation of the annual company budget package
  • Support the Finance Director in managing relationships with local authorities and banks
  • Assist with acquisition and integration activities.
  • Deputise for Finance Director when absent.

Key Requirements

  • Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA accountant.
  • Strong technical expertise, particularly in consolidated and statutory reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to manage and interpret large data sets.
  • Highly organized, structured, and detail-oriented.
  • Proactive and accountable, with excellent problem-solving abilities.

Our client has new, modern offices in Liverpool but has also embraced hybrid working. 

Salary : 70000 - 95000
