Head of Finance - Banking - Sterling Williams LTD : Job Details

Sterling Williams are working with an International Bank based in the City of London who are looking to hire a permanent Head of Finance with experience working in a subsidiary.

This is a role that will allow for hybrid working (3 days in the office) and is a replacement hire - supporting the CFO the Head of Finance will managing Financial Control functions, whilst leading and mentoring the finance team.

Salary dependent on experience but circa £100 - 130,000 pa plus benefits.

The successful candidate will have managed teams previously (c5 - 10) and will have tangible and extensive financial control and accounting capabilities from in a Banking environment. You will be ideally ACA qualified and have at least 5 plus years of experience working in a similar capacity as an FC/Head of in a UK Bank - subsidiary, rather than a branch.

The Head of Finance will:

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS
• Manage the Bank's accounting practices, financial reporting, and internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
• Coordinate the budgeting process and provide financial forecasts, variance analysis, and strategic recommendations to CFO for review.
• Conduct financial analysis to assess business performance, profitability, and opportunities for growth.
• Ensure timely preparation of regulatory reports and compliance with all relevant legislation, including Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) requirements for review and approval of CFO.
• Act as a main liaise with external auditors during annual audits to ensure that audit process is smooth and completes within the approved timelines set by the Board Audit and Compliance Committee
