My client, a leading luxury hospitality brand in Liverpool, is recruiting for a highly experienced Financial Controller to join the business. The Financial Controller will drive Finance Strategy for the business and other projects as part of the Executive Team.
You will have extensive experience in managing hotel management accounts and have very strong commercial awareness with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You must have the proven ability to implement strategies in maximising hotel revenues whilst at the same time, minimising costs. As manager of a finance department, you must also possess excellent team management and communication skills, to pro-actively lead and develop members of your team.
Duties:
- You should be proficient in all financial duties such as.
- Supervising all accounting related activities in the organisation.
- Maintain internal controls over financial reporting & presenting to the executive board & team.
- Overseeing the preparation of budgets, business plan and revenue forecasting.
- Overseeing all financial activities including the review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures.
- You must also have strong Payroll experience
- Providing external auditors with the necessary documentation and support
- Dealing with / liaising with external sources for tax preparations and duties
Candidate Specification:
- Candidates must have an extremely solid hotel background.
- You will ideally be ACA / ACCA Qualified; PQ & QBE will also be considered.
- Possess excellent team management and communication skills
- You will have an analytical mindset.
- You will be a decision maker with the ability to work in a team and operate independently.
