Our client, a leading care service company based in Berkhamsted, Herts has a new position for a Financial Controller to join their team. Managing the Finance Department and reporting to the Executive Chairman, duties will include: -
- Manage the finance department on a day-to-day basis
- Supervising 3 direct reports
- Preparing statutory accounts
- Produce monthly management accounts and reports
- Improve processes and reporting
- Maintain and improve cash flow forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax, accounting, auditing, and external reporting requirements
- Leading and coordinating the annual external audit
- Prepare and monitor performance against forecasts and budgets
- Provide analysis and strategic insight to senior management on a proactive basis
- Seek to improve productivity and efficiency through the development of processes and controls
- Deliver all company secretarial responsibilities
- Experience in using Xero and Sage will be advantageous although not essential
- Ad hoc duties
To be considered for this role candidates must have experience managing a small accounts department.
