Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the organisation’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support the institution’s long-term goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements, including audits, tax filings, and other statutory obligations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and board presentations.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to align financial resources with organisational priorities.
- Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the financial health of the organisation.
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Act as the financial liaison for internal and external stakeholders, including board members, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- CPA/ACA or ACCA/CIMA qualification is required.
- Experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the educational sector or a similar environment.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices in financial management.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
