Financial Controller - Jacob Grey : Job Details

Jacob Grey have partnered with a successful and continuously growing manufacturing business near Welwyn Garden City to identify a new Financial Controller.

Reporting to a dynamic CFO and ambitious board of Directors, your duties will include:

- Managing a team of circa 8 staff (including appraisals, hiring and development)

- Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts with variance analysis and commentary

- Presenting the monthly and quarterly accounts to the SMT with suggestions for improvement/change

- Overseeing the annual audit and preparation of Statutory Accounts

- Preparation of annual and quarterly budgets

- Overseeing the Accounts Receivable and Payables function

- Cash flow forecasting

- Commercial analysis including overheads, pricing and project costing

- VAT returns

- Deputising for the CFO where required

- Ad hoc project work when necessary

The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified and possess an exemplary track record in similar roles. Attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and an inquisitive/analytical mind are essential.
